So my new single Over and Over is climbing the charts and is now a Top 20 Video on CMT! I have received lots of questions about my outfits and how I was able to achieve my signature boho look even though it was shot in the Fall (and was freezing.) I owe it all to my stylist Crystal Carson and her unique eye for pattern, colour and material.
To achieve the Boho/Hippie look we stuck to a few guidelines. My hair had long, beachy waves in every shot, we styled it using braids and texture spray and stuck with natural makeup. We wanted the whole video to have a natural yet chic feel so we only worked with earth tone colours over all. We chose fun pieces like denim bell bottoms and velvet tops. Layered on the jewelry with unique pieces and stones to keep us in brand. All with a beautiful West Coast backdrop we had the recipe for greatness!
First look: In the Barn
We went with Guess Bell Bottoms, a velvet Top Shop body suit, and a brown Express coat and necklace! This look was one of my favourites and Guess was kind enough to gift me these epic jeans. I felt comfortable and confident in this outfit and was perfect for a glamorous (?) day at the barn. Shoutout to Marita Muth and everyone at Bellamy Brook Stables for letting us shoot here!
Second Look: At home
This look was super simple and casual. Meant to represent the moments after a breakup, at home, kind of in a dream state. We chose this cute sweater from Gentle Fawn and gloriously ripped up jeans from Guess! Jewelry is a huge style point and including natural stones and unique pieces really put all the looks together. Loved this stone bracelet from Soul Stones.
Third Look: On the balcony
This look was super chic, fun and something I would wear in my day to day life. We got to play with a really fun pattern on this coat from Guess and these epic thigh high Express boots. The lace up top has become so trendy and Brunette The Label makes a great one! The skirt to me is my favourite part of this look. Top Shop nailed it with the floral touch making it both sexy and sweet at the same time. To complete the look was a Caroline Neron Half Moon Choker, she has become my favourite for boho/chic jewelry pieces.
Fourth Look: Rooftop
This look is very simple but possibly had my favourite moments from the whole video. This beautiful bell sleeved, velvet top was the perfect dark contrast to the bright sky and epic mountains. The velvet print top was from Top Shop and jewelry from Soul Stones!
